About Me
Hi! My name is Bob Chevalier and I am a graduate student at The University of Georgia. I am currently pursuing an M.S. degree in Artificial Intelligence. My main areas of interest are robotics and machine learning. Specifically, I have been investigating the benefits of allowing mobile robots to acquire new reactive behaviors by means of repetitive learning.
I am also a research assistant, working with Dr. Hoogenboom and Dr. McClendon on the Automated Environmental Monitoring Network project. This project involves using machine learning techniques to predict meteorological events throughout the state of Georgia. I am researching the application of Support Vector Machines for air temperature prediction. Previous work in this area has primarily involved Artificial Neural Networks.
I am currently in my second year of the program and am hoping to obtain my masters degree in May of 2008.
